Eligible travellers can obtain an Egyptian tourist visa online or upon arrival at designated airports. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
Travellers eligible for a Visa on Arrival can now complete the process through several options. At Cairo International Airport, the Visa on Arrival is issued as a QR code, whether it is purchased online, through the self-service machine, or at the bank counter.
Online Application – Recommended Option: Eligible travellers can purchase their visa online through the official Visa application “Visa On Arrival Egypt” up to 48 hours before arrival in Egypt. Once payment is completed, they will receive a QR code, which must be presented upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. Please note that a visa purchased online must be used within 7 days of purchase.
Self-Service Machine at the Airport: Travellers can purchase their Visa on Arrival directly from the self-service machine at Cairo International Airport using an international Visa card. The total cost is USD 36 per person, and the QR code is issued immediately after payment. Only the passport holder may use the self-service machine, and an email address is required during the payment process.
Bank Counter at the Airport: Travellers can also purchase their Visa on Arrival from the bank counter upon arrival and pay in cash. After payment, a QR code will be issued, which is then used as part of the visa process.
